The rumors that these wells were drilled by the early Landowners' Assn. are not true, as you will see as we unfold the history of these wells.

Community Outparcel Well referred to as the Phase 1 Well. Office of State Engineer File No. RG-68365. Well is located to North of Round-up Rd. and East of County Rd. A-081. (History to follow.) All information listed below is Public Information found on the NM Office of State Engineer (OSE) website.
- Application to Appropriate Underground Waters filed on 08/25/1997 by FNF Properties, LLC. Use of water stated on application: livestock watering. Application approved by OSE.
- Well Record filed with OSE 9/30/97 by Caraway Drilling for FNF Properties, LLC. 385' with estimated yield at 28+ gallons per minute. Well also referred to as "Wildhorse #1".
- Quitclaim Deed - 3.50 acre parcel (designated as an outparcel, which included the well) filed with Catron County 7/21/20. Wild Horse Ranch LLC to Wild Horse Ranch Landowners' Assn. Inc. Conveyance of Deed: right of Grantor, the owners of lots within Phase I and the owners of lots in subsequent phases, and each of their heirs, successors and assigns, to use the property for community purposes, subject to the reasonable rules and regulations imposed by Grantee.
- Change of Ownership filed with OSE 5/17/18 by WHRLA President Robert Leonard. Purpose of use left as livestock well.
- Application for Permit to Use Underground Waters filed with OSE 5/31/18 by WHRLA President Robert Leonard and Directors Mike Steele, William Burke and Donye Loyd and Treasurer Steven Condict for change of use from livestock to domestic use for one household. Application approved for use indicated subject to all general conditions and specific conditions with diversions of water not to exceed 1.000 acre-feet per year.
- Application for Permit to Use Underground Waters filed with OSE 4/24/24 by WHRLA Director Greg Bronowski for purpose of use to: Drinking and sanitary uses that are incidental to the operation of a governmental, commercial, or non-profit facility and to amend purpose of use of an existing well. This Application was also filed with the following attachment: to be used by Wild Horse Ranch Landowners' Assn. (WHRLA), a non-profit corporation for incidental association operations as deemed necessary and responsible by the WHRLA board of directors. Use to include association functions and operations, temporary water use for visiting landowners, as well as WHRLA volunteer fire department fire, emergency and training exercises, also to include maintaining existing water levels in existing storage tanks for emergency and backup situations. All uses to be in compliance with NM OSE regulations and conservation recommendations, not to exceed listed permit diversion amount. Permit was granted with the condition that a meter(s) be installed and meter readings submitted to OSE and diversion of water not to exceed 1.000 acre-feet per year. - Well Record filed with OSE 07/18/2000 by Caraway Drilling for Wild Horse Ranch, LLC. 500' with estimated yield at .167 gallons per minute. Well also referred to as "Wildhorse #6B". Maximum amount of water appropriated is 3 acre-feet in any year.
- Quitclaim Deed from Wild Horse Ranch Development Corp., to Wild Horse Ranch Landowners' Assn. 09/11/2002, road rights of way for Phase 3 and a certain well parcel containing 2.17 acres more or less located between lots 65, 66, and 67.
